Hey its me yet again, i have a dynamic block that took me a while to make cause it was very fiddly and time consuming. BUT i want to add some attributes to this block without having to redraw it all over again. I have been able to edit the block, put in the attributes, and dynamically stretch them. But the problem is, because i have a few visibiliy layers, it will only show up on the most recently worked-on layer, after i exit the block editor. I have used "attsync" command but doesnt do much.. please help? All I want is to add attributes to already made blocks (with visibility states) without the drama

okay, so i have a dynamic block. I am able to stretch it how i want BUT, the moment i add a text attribute to it, my block dissapears. this does not always happen, although i do the exact smae thing every time. what can i do to avoid the lock being deleted/hidden when i add a text attribute to it? by the way, i am trying to stretch the text attributes with the block (or move, which ever choice of words you use)

Hi, I have a box, and inside that box, there is another box. Connecting/joining both boxes are two lines on all four sides of both boxes. What I don't know is how to stretch the outer box (dynamically) from the top right corner, to any size i wish to drag it out to (keeping the inner box in the center at all times, and keeping the lines joining the boxes, conected to both boxes). This puzzles me to the point where I have absolutly no idea what to do. I can: -Dynamically stretch the outer box from the top right corner, keeping the inner box in the center I can't: -Keep the lines joining the two boxes connnected to the two boxes. Please help, there is a picture attached that shows the box before it is stretched, and a picture of the end result that im looking for. I just need to know how to dynamically stretch the first image to generate the second image.

Hi again guys I am putting together a CAD block library for the water team here and have been given some catalogues of the dimensions. is it possible to make a dynamic block that changes in size, but is also a 3d model? besides inventor? cheers Marcus also how could i link a table from a catalogue to my dynamic block for 2D and / or 3D -
Does anyone know if it is possible to use LISP code to do these 3 things: 1. Insert a block (this is about as far as I can get myself) 2. Read a variable value (Useri5, for example) 3. Set a lookup table value based on the variable value. I have a bock with a lookup table with selectable values from 1-40. The block is for revision text on a drawing. The lookup table changes the block's attribute values to read off of Sheet Set custom properties. I already have a couple of functions for inserting a revision delta and have the number automatically populate based on the USERI5 variable, but I would also like to be able to have a function to insert the revision text block, and have it automatically set to the correct revision number. If anyone could help (or think you might be able to help, but my explanation was confusing) please please let me know. Thanks for reading my post and taking time to help out!

I have a dynamic block with two linear stretch actions. I can change the linear dim's through the properties but I can't select the stretch grip and drag. Tried placing the block in a new drawing, no change. Any suggestions? Section Label Block.dwg

Hey All I currently have a block that is stretchable in the X and Y direction seprately. I now want to place an item in this block that stretches along with these tabs, however a stretch does not appear to work due to the shape of the objects. It required a scale linked to the X and the Y stretch grips but when i do this the item scales in both directions instead of just one. Anyone have an ideas?

I am using Autocad 2010 and am new to dynamic blocks. I have sucsessfully created many blocsk using the visibility state to be placed in an attribute. I have a new problem. I have many visibility states in my new block of which I want to be able to stretch some to a restricted size and others to differing restricted sizes and my head is shot. Any advice will be very welcome Thanks in advance

I have a whole lot of U-Bolts that I need to make in to Dynamic Blocks - I need to just add a stretch parameter so the nuts can be moved up and down according to plate thickness. I've done about 15 so far, quite a few left - then I wondered if it was possible to match properties of one completed dynamic block, to one non-dynamic block? Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if this image below is possible in Acad2011 as I wish to create these tags for dumping around elevations -
It's about time I started using Dynamic Blocks but all the lititure I find for it makes what I guess is realitively easy into a mystery. If I have a new layer called "PL" and draw a rectangle with it and then do a solid fill also on layer PL and make it a block: How do I make the fill switchable between visible or not and choose it's colour? Add things like stretchable in certain directions etc. (Plan view of windows are a good example of when that is handy) If I can get these answers for a simple rectangle I should be able to fathom it out for more involved blocks.
