  1. Hi! Is there a way to use a clipping boundary on an OLE from excel? I've tried blocking it and then using xclip, but oddly it clips everything _except_ the OLE. Basically, I've got multiple tables I want to display throughout the drawing and I'd like them to be linked to a single excel, while still being embedded rather than linked to an external excel file. I've been able to use an excel OLE within blocks before to accomplish this for the same table repeated throughout a drawing, but I'm hitting a dead end for doing this with multiple tables. Thanks!
  2. Dear Friends and Experts, Again I am here with a new problem got a new project again Now here i have an excel sheet and it was pasted as a link ( i think) as i got this project my client is not having the excel sheet. i have only the CAD file in which the excel sheet is pasted same as excel sheet ("not in table format") Normally when i double click the Excel sheet or the OLE object it directly opens in to an excel file, here its not happening it tells me "Failed to launch Server application" tried by right clicking the object right click-OLE-Convert that dosent change anything:| please help i am attaching the drawing as well S14006-0100D-PH1-CU-FD-EG-701.dwg
  3. Hi Everyone! I am having a bit of a dilemma. I am trying to find out (not sure what to search for) if it is possible to take data from an OLE and be able to capture it into an ACCESS database. I have an example of what needs to be pulled if this is even possible.
  4. I inserted our company logo and placed It properly in our title block. But when I zoom in with the mouse wheel the logo gets smaller in the border. When I zoom out it increases bigger than the border. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... I hope I am just missing a small option..

Hi there, I have a CAD dwg with an embedded OLE object (Microsoft Excel). I am able to edit the text with no problems, but I am not able to resize the viewing window in CAD. I have reset the 'print view' in Excel several times, hoping that this would render the problem. However, it is still showing 1 row of extra cells that I do not want to see. Has anyone else had this problem? Regards, Greg
  6. Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I can import data from an excel file in a predetermined range but variable workbook and sheet. For instance, in Station5.dwg I access cells B4:C15 on sheet STA-5 on workbook TerminalA.xls and then in Station6.dwg I access cells B4:C15 on sheet STA-6 on workbook TerminalA.xls, but all through just rerouting the sheet just as if I were to reroute an xref with the same scale and insertion point. I'm trying to avoid a continual copy/paste of OLEs for each .dwg because I will have an average of 5 ranges to import from each sheet, of an average of 7 sheets per workbook, of an estimated 220 workbooks to work through. (7,700 ranges estimated so far is a lot of work). Thanks for your help!
  7. I have an Acad2011 drawing with objects linked to a MS Access 2010 BOM database table via dbconnect. I have created my links successfully. However, I occasionally need to break a single object's link to its corresponding record either due to an error or change. A database record may sometimes link to multiple objects. How do I break just the one link while leaving the other objects' links intact.
