As a Terragen user you have an advantage. You create worlds, make remote places accessible and craft images that move people. VR consumers and developers are crying out for content like this. When you step inside a digital landscape in VR, you get a sense of scale, and a sense that you’re really there. It becomes a real place. We’ve done this with Terragen worlds and it’s a magical experience. We’ve walked on the surface of Mars. We’ve stepped back in time to a serene landscape that begs to be explored. We even tried the Terragen benchmark scene, and when we first stepped inside it suddenly became a real place. We want more! So we are asking for your help. We are running a competition to find the best Terragen scenes to turn into VR experiences. Participants should submit renders that show 360-degree views of breathtaking places created with Terragen. Resolution requirements are modest, so you won’t need the fastest computer on the block to enter. You can use any version of Terragen. You don’t need to start from scratch. If you already have scenes that you think will make good VR experiences, we want to see them! VR is an amplifier. Seeing your artwork on the screen is one thing, but walking into it and becoming part of it is so much more powerful. Oculus, Samsung, HTC Vive and Playstation VR are all pushing hard this year. Of course we want Terragen to be a part of this exciting future. Your Terragen creations deserve to be seen this way, and we can make it happen!
