  1. I don't know if this is possible but have to ask. If I had an Excel spreadsheet sheet that had a list of part numbers, could I Import that into AutoCAD so that it would load premade 3d blocks where I want it to. For example I have a warehouse drawing with specific parts stored in specific locations. I have block drawings already made for each part. I have an Excel sheet with a list of part numbers. Is there a way I can import the Excel sheet and have it populate my warehouse drawing with the part drawing blocks in their perspective locations? Thanks!
  2. Hello all, I am new to AutoLISP, and I have an assignment to make a lisp which would calculate and write number of the sheet of cadastral map (which is defined by scale and coordinates). I'd like the sheet scale in which the number is calculated to be 1:1000 (more advanced option - to be able to choose). Numbering is defined on this link : http://listovi.dgu.hr/vezaizmedjupodjela.html (I'm from Croatia) Any help would be great, thanks.
  3. I scanned the forum and couldn't find anything on this so here goes.. I have a sheet with three viewports and need each one to have a different cut planes. When I change it in one VP it changes in the other two. Please help.
  4. Using Inventor 2013 I cant to add a flange to a slightly twisted sheet metal part. I created the part by lofting between two lines from a 3d sketch. Then thickened to my sheet metal default thickness. Then i coverted part to sheet metal. I can create a flat pattern. I am trying to add the flange to one of the straight edges that the loft was created from. There is no twist on this edge. I also need flanges on the twited sides but for now the straight sides will do. I also tried to unfold thinking i could add the flanges and refold but i cant unfold the twisted part. Thanks any help would be great.
  5. Hi, I'm new to this so sorry if I am doing this wrong. I am working with Inventor 2011 and I have a series of different parts that I want to present in one .idw file. I have produced .idw files for all the parts individually but I wish to have them all in one .idw . I have tried to copy paste the sheets from all the .idw files and it seems to work fine apart from the labelling (lettering) of my section views (and some positioning of view) it seems when ever I add a new sheet the lettering is followed on from the previous sheet. Is there a way of preventing this so that each sheet starts from a fresh lettering (starting from A-A section in each sheet )? Any help would be great. Thanks
  6. Hi all I have this reoccurring issue with ACAD. It appears randomly and whenever we upgrade to newer versions of ACAD also. Now that we are upgrading to 2012 it has reared its ugly head again. Heres the issue; when I go to publish a set of drawings from sheet set manager it refuses to do so. It does not even show my page setups. So to get around this i will plot the drawings individually or create a DWF and plot them that way. Another way is to delete all the sheets within the sheet set and add them all again which fixes it, but its time consuming and quiet annoying having to do this all the time. Anyone come across this issue themselves and what can be done to stop it?? Cheers! p.s - I am currently working on 2011 but will be upgrading to 2012 asap, would like to solve this first though. Any help appreciated
