(Sorry for my poor english title....)

What I mean; I have created a custom titleblock with several attributes: style = standard (wich is ISOCP) and height = 0.

In some drawings in wich I use the titleblock, it is all right, just how I need it to be. In other drawings the attributes text is much bigger, wider... So it comes out of the titleblock. Looks stupid... But I can't seem to change it the way I want.

When checking the titleblock attributes properties it says ISOCP with height to 0. Just as I created it, like there is nothing to worry about.

What can I do, to be sure of my defined style in the attribute? Where does this go wrong? I have a slight idea, since there is a missing shx file in the drawing (got it from an architect)... but i don't know how to attack that one...

I would appreciate any help. Tnx, Marco.

I've never experienced that so can't help there but is it possible some of your attributes have got an annotative style? If annotative scale has accidentally been set that could upset them.

Hi dbroada,

I am almost shure it has something to do with the stupid missing shx file.

And I don't even know what an anotive scale is, I mean, how would i make it annotive? Neah, can't be, ... can it?

If you cut and paste an item which carries the shx file from a drawing where it exists into the drawing you're having problems with.... what happens?

I've changed your thread title to see if the auto thread match at the bottom of this page will throw up any results for you

Your text styles are labeled as standard in your attribtuted block and they might also have a "standard" text style in your drawing file (as it is the default name for a text style), there might be an overwright problem with this..change the text style of your attributed blocks to something else (ie. TITLEBLOCK) then reinsert your titleblock into your dawing. It just might be picking up the properties of the "standard" text style in your current drawing

I'm a bit of an ACAD newbie, but could it be the justification when you define your attributes?

Hi AlexB,

No that is set allright, for in a new drawing it does work properly.

Only in case of a missing shape file the problem occurs. So I figured: blame the architect and go on with my work...

Anyway, thanks for your reply, and welcom to the forum. I am still a newbie in here :). I'll be in that state for a long period I am afraid, but thats okay, learning is great.
