g-druck Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to take a 3D Model in Solidworks and exported it to AutoCAD? Thanks Quote
spittle Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 STL is one option. In solidworks go File>Open, then have a look at all the available formats Quote
ReMark Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I do not believe one can import a STL file into AutoCAD although I know there is an STLOUT command. Can someone verify? I think the available file formats for importing into AutoCAD are wmf, 3ds, dgn and sat. Quote
shift1313 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 ACISIN (.sat file). you can save a SW part as a .sat file. theoretically this works but i have never been able to get it to. I have tried saving as several different versions with no luck. there have been a few times where i have exported models from SW to inventor then to Acad but i cant remember the path I took. it wasnt worth it:) Quote
