T9PMK Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Hi I use LT2010, Is there a way to turn off/freeze/isolate a layer in all tabbed layouts except the current viewport in the current tabbed layout. Example: I have a drawing that has multiple layout tabs, after inserting a block that that has been presaved on its own layer (first time layer used in this drawing) within model space via tabbed layout/maximize viewport, the new additional layer is visible in all other tabbed viewports. The command LAYVPI nearly does the trick, but it only turns off the choosen layer in all viewports other that the current but only within the current layout tab, whereas i require the selected layer to be turned off in all tabbed layouts and viewports except the current viewport. Looking forward to any help. Cheers T9 Quote
JohnM Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 you cannot run lisp in autocad lt do you have a 3rd party extender package installed to allow for lisp? simple way is to use layvpi to kill it in all viewports then doubleclick inside the vp and thaw the layer Quote
T9PMK Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Thanks for your reply John. Im not allowed any 3rd party addons (good old UK NHS). I have drawings with more than 20 tabs, it takes too long to double click in each viewport in each tab to turn off a layer. Cheers T9 Quote
T9PMK Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Sorry it does work. Its in settings. Layvpi/Settings/Layouts/All And then Layvpi Turns off the layer in all viewports in all tabbed layouts except current VP. Thanks for your help Cheers T9 Quote
