muck Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 What are some ways to speed up AutoCAD 2010. Seems like a lot of my lisp routines are very slow on a network version of 2010 at work. Thank you, Quote
ReMark Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Delete scalelists. Purge any unused regapps. Plus a few dozen other things all of which have been listed here previously. Search on the word "slow". Where are your LISP routines stored? On the network? When did the problem first occur? Quote

What are the computer specs re: amount of installed physical RAM and what graphics card or chip is being used? Yes it's definitely part of my autocad related problems. The video card isn't certified The Mac has 3gb of ram, therefore 1gb only has been dedicated to Windows. If I give more virtual ram to windows, mac slows down It's a MacBook Pro Even if 1GB of ram is not enough for running Win & Acad 2010, it works reasonably well, perhaps because of the virtualization. I was just searching for some tips & tricks. As soon as I have time to play with the suggestions mentioned in the attachment I will give them a try. Then will report. Thanks for your reply. Quote

Thank you, There is nothing particular about 2010 that should cause lisp routines to run any slower than any other version. The things mentioned here (scale list entries, regapps, etc.) are not unique to 2010. Having said that, are you saying that you have an older version (which one?) in which you are not experiencing this slowness? Quote
