rustym Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 It seems like no one ever find this one. After a LOT of research on the net I finally solved my problem of running a script on multiple drawings I've tried various solutions: Creating .bat files to run scripts - not working for me, because it opens a new instance of AutoCAD (acad.exe) for every single dwg file every time witch takes a longer time instead of opening the drawings in the same AutoCAD session. The other option I found was to get a list of the drawings through the Data Extraction wizard, or dos, paste that in Word and create a Macro to quickly copy the script for each and every dwg. Put that back to Notepad saving as a .scr file - takes a while. SOLUTION: I found a tiny freeware program witch does the job for you. For me it processed a script for 1500 drawings in 1sec, save it as a .scr at desire location. Drag and drop that into AutoCAD and then sit back and relax! The author sure deserve a Thank You!!! Enjoy! h**p://softwaredownloadmirror.com/freeware/script32-1.4/100587727/ Quote
ReMark Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 wareseeker? Sorry, but personally I wouldn't download anything from that website. It is just a personall opinon and everyone is free to do what they like without undue influence by me. The link can stay too. Quote
Freerefill Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 You could try using my batch engine. It's still in development but it works pretty good. You can run scripts or LISPs on any tabs in any number of drawings. Quote
Glen Smith Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 ReMark, You say that like wareseeker is a email harvester for spamming or something, care to elaborate? Glen Quote
ReMark Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Don't trust the website. I don't care how many "clean bills of web-health" it has. Personal opinion only. Use it to your heart's content. Quote
Tiger Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 From a little searching about wareseeker, the website seems to be what it says it is. Quote

Tiger Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 That said I shall revise my earlier comment. I completely agree with you that links that are in any ways strange or cannot be trusted should not be here, which is why I did look into this one. and since I can't find anything strange with Wareseeker, I will not remove it and I wanted to explain why. The actual program though, that should be used at your own risk. Quote
rustym Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Ok sorry guys, seems like to be a problem here with the site not looking trusted. I've removed the link and added a screenshot of the program. The actual link to the zip file is: h**p://softwaredownloadmirror.com/freeware/script32-1.4/100587727/ I don't see any problem with it and already processed about 1000 dwgs with the scripts created by it. It works like a dream. Please let me know if I should upload the program somewhere els or here. It's only 400kb. Quote
alanjt Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 ScriptPro is really good about bypassing any popup/startup dialogs (especially for the LDD people). I rarely every have a reason for batch editing, but I've had the best luck with it, every time I've actually needed it. Quote
ReMark Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I don't see any need to be uploading programs to the CADTutor forum. Mostly what you'll find here are links to where people can do so at their own discretion or LISP, VBA and macro routines written and tested by forum members. Thanks for the offer though. Maybe I got wareseeker confused with warez. My bad. Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I have been using EZ Script Pro for about a year now and never had a problem. Runs both scripts and LISP files. I run it about twice a month on folders full of drawings that contain 200+ drawings each. Quote

Or I'm being stupid here? What is the link to the download page? ::EDIT:: Never mind, found it through Google at http://www.angelfire.com/clone/ezscript/ version 3.1 Thanx for sharing (will share my thoughts later) ::EDIT:: my thoughts about EZ Script Pro: More options than Scripter and works pretty well. AQ - that link you posted doesn't seem to go to where you intended - mind checking it and posting the correct one? Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 AQ - that link you posted doesn't seem to go to where you intended - mind checking it and posting the correct one? I don't have anouther link to the product... I pulled that link directly from the about product page. That is the link I went to about a year ago to get the product. I don't want to post a link I am unsure about so I can't update it, however I can show you the about product page and you can judge. Quote
