tfel63
Hi, I have a frustrating problem with my Acad Map 3D 2008 where the command _EXTERNALREFERENCES (XR or XREF) for short does not bring up the XREF manager dialogue box. Neither does the command from the 'Insert' menu. I have tried various SETVARS, reloading lisp files, even repairing the installation - all to no avail. XATTACH brings up the single XREF attach dialogue box, but I cannot get the manager. Looking on this excellent site(!) told me of the CLASSICXREF command which I am now using. Any ideas, anyone? tfel63
rkmcswain
._CLASSICXREF should open the old dialog. Have you tried going into the CUI, and editing the location of the ExternalReferences palette, in the current workspace?
tfel63
Awesome! I thought the answer might be in CUI customization somewhere, but that hit the nail on the head! I must've inadvertently docked it off-screen. I changed it to floating and it has reappeared. Thank you very much! Tony tfel63
rkmcswain
No problem. I wish AutoCAD had a simple one-screen dialog for all palettes, windows, etc. -or- a "Reset-all-dialogs" command, because dialogs getting lost off screen is a common problem. Have a good one...
