Castor63 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I am a student with a final project due!!!! My problem is, when I try to use solid view to create my view ports nothing shows up in the viewport! The object iss there in model view but I cant get it into a viewport using solidview. Quote
ReMark Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 What is the object? A needle in a haystack? Normally getting an object to show up in a viewport is pretty straightforward. Did you activate the viewport and do a Zoom > Limits? Have you tried using Pan to locate the object? Quote
Castor63 Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 I have searched and when in the viewport there is nothing. I can get the object in normal viewports but when using solid view nothing shows up. Quote
Lee Mac Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Have you checked your layers aren't frozen in the viewports or something similar? Quote
SuperCAD Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Are you talking about SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW? Quote
Castor63 Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 Solview and all layers are thawed, and unlocked Quote
SuperCAD Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 It's probably just my opinion, but the whole SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW thing seems to be a bit archaic given what you can do with a section plane and FLATSHOT. Use a section plane to get all of your elevations, plan views and sections, then use FLATSHOT to get your isometric views. Quote
ReMark Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 The Section Plane command in AutoCAD 2007 and higher will create a 2D section of an object. Quote
