kkleinchester Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I am guessing it is a hardware problem although I have two other systems that are working out great. The one system seems to lock up with sime orbital commands when rotating even with smaller files. the screen then goes to a flickering state and makes a poping sound. anyone ever run in to this problem? The system is: 2010 Architecture x64 HSB 2010 windows xpx64 asus p6t MB 920 2.66 processor 8gb ram 4850 1 gb video card 650 watt ps thanks for your help Quote
mrbucket Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Thats a nice setup. Have you tried re-installing your drivers for the radeon vid card? Start there. Popping from where? Speakers or in the case? If it seems to be coming from the case, uninstall radeon software including the catalyst control, reboot, in bios turn on onboard video, turn off, unplug, take out the card, reboot, see if the sound goes away. This will tell you if it is the card or maybe a bad motherboard or hard drive that locks up. Quote
kkleinchester Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 THanks! it is purely from the speakers it does not happen often. I have reload the ati drivers before I post the first time and it has only happened once since then. I guess it could just be and over load or a code gets stuck every once in a while. thanks for you help! Quote
