saray1981 Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Hi, I have drown the enclosed file and I want to shell the two parts inside in oder to make it like a sink. I use shell in the solid editing and I mention 1mm as the offset distance and I remove the up and down surfaces, but when I enter the "hide" commad, I see what it was before all these. Could anyone kindly let me know the steps by which I can make a shell inside the two prts of the sink? Thanks in advance. sink.dwg Quote
iskalipsi Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Try to save your drawing in 200 format so everybody can view your attached file and you'll get more replies. Quote
iskalipsi Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Extrude your closed polylines then subtract the inner solid from the bigger one. Quote
dshowalt Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I think the shell command is working fine, probably the flange on the top is a seperate solid and is covering up the shelled bowl when you view it. Try extruding a hole through the flange solid and see if that doesn't help. Quote
kencaz Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 What I would do is make one side of the sink shell it then mirror. This would save you some time. then use the extruded profile of the sink to slice the top. Then you can combine the solids into one and fillet the edges. KC Quote
