s.fitzsimn
I have installed autocad LT 2007 and about 14 machines. I am teaching a class for high school seniors that have an interest in studying engineering in college. I have installed the software using an administrators account and loading SP2 since the machines have Vista. When I set up several of the machines with user accounts that do not have administrator access, I get the error regarding profiles and that the system cannot fine the acadlt.cui file. The software works fine administrator's account but not in the standard accounts. Steve
rossuwp00
Check the permissions of autodesk folders and its children. To do this, right click autodesk, select properties, and choose tab 'Security'. Then, make sure all users have write access. My guess, is that the students have accounts that are fairly locked down. If you manually do this, you may be in luck. I had the same issue when I installed MATLab at my school. Good luck If that doesn't work, give students full access to the folder. And then scale back as need be.
