vertical horizons
I am used to being able to make PDFs from AutoCAD drawings. But I can't seem to be able to do that in Inventor. Can you make a PDF from an Inventor drawing? If not, what kind of format can you convert Inventor drawings into, so that others that are not running Inventor can view your drawings? kencaz
When your ready to create your layout view just open a new "standard.dwg" instead of "standard.idw" Open in Auotcad and Plot to PDF. KC

linnmaster
Oh ... my ... goodness ... I can't believe you can do that!! I've been printing to PDF and it's been a real pain ... Thanks so much! BTW, I'm on 2010 and the save copy as pdf is available. Not sure about 2008.
vertical horizons
Why go to all that extra work? Save Copy As Type pdf. Done. Inventor 2009 has this option. Thanks. This makes it a lot easier.

Two different things. If it isn't there (I think it is) I am almost certain you can add a pdf driver.

I cant do that either, but an ease way out could be to save a copy of your drawing in “save as type BMP“ zip it and e mail it file>save copy as>save as type>BMP >save in>my pictures. Go in my pictures zip it and email it ciao Ralf. inventor
spiderdian
I stumbled across this really old thread. Now, in 2015 version, you can just go to upper left most icon (Inventorlogo)>Export>PDF. Done.
