Foamfollower Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hi, I am planning to create a block of UK electrical symbols for my own use. I had planned to create a drawing of each symbol I would be using and save them. My question is, do I save them as DWG files in a folder then copy/paste to insert them? I think there must be an easier way but as I am new to Autocad and teaching myself I dont know it. Is there an easier way to create a block ? Thanks in advance. dbroada Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 the old way is to write each to a dwg of its own and then INSERT that into drawings as required. (Check INSERT in the help). It is now easier to keep all your blocks in e drwing and use PALETTEs or DESIGN CENTER. (Check help) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
