asiangirl02
Does anyone know how to reduce the size of inventor files? I have five 100mb files that need to be put together. Is there a way to reimport them as block or just surfaces?
shift1313
What version of inventor are you using? You can reduce large assemblies(if you dont need their functionality, but only their shape) by using the Shrinkwrap feature in newer versions of inventor(new for 2010 maybe). Where would this shrinkwrap feature be? Also i have one file that I cant even open it crash inventor because it is too large. What would i have to do to be able to open it for just the shape. Thanks
JD Mather
Can you attach a picture of one of those parts? I have some very complex stuff - and none of them are that large individually.
shift1313
I have an assembly comprised of some complex surfaces lots of parts and constraints. Over 1500 parts and several sub assemblies and I dont need to reduce the size of these files. What kind of files are you working with? Shrink wrap is located on the ribbon bar, i believe its on the manage tab but i dont recall exactly without having it in front of me. jdits7
Shrinkwrap is on the Assemble Tab, Component Panel. I am including a pic to show where it is at.
