Marktuc
Hi, Working on a topographic dwg for my surveying class and have come up against a brick wall. I'm trying to add points, make comments on points already imported. I'm using civil 3D 2009. I have tried all function in toolspace and just can't seem to edit or add anything. Also, no elevation showed up on the topographic lines. It seem that I have a few switches off or not in the right config.
rkmcswain
If you are trying to turn on the elevations on the points, you can either modify the point label style, or create a new one in which the elevation is visible.
bomalley
If they are survey points (imported using the survey tab functions) you cant edit them in the Prospector tab. You need to change the description in the Survey tab in your network. This can play merry hell with the Description keys. You can also right click on the point, and select edit label, select the piece of text you want to add a comment to, and add it after the pre made text in the dialog box. bomalley
If you have used survey functions to get the points in your DWG, you cant edit them in the prospector tab. You need to change them in the Survey tab. This can destroy your Description key automation. You can also right click on the point and select edit text, and add text, as much as you could possibly want really, to the label itself. Good for adding quick notes such as invert levels, soffit levels or any pertinent data.
