AdrienneGC
Hello, I Am Brand New To Autocad And I Am Working On A Building Layout At 1/8"=1' Scale. At This Size, The Drawing Will Take Up About 4 36x24 Sheets. Is There An Automatic Way To Break Up This File Or Do I Cut And Paste It Into 4 Different Files? Thanks For Any Help! AdrienneGC
Ugh! I am still having trouble figuring this out. Can anyone walk me thru breaking up a large drawing into smaller drawings for plotting? I am hoping to get this printed this evening and sent out, but I can't make any progress on this. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to any one who can help me!!!
smorales02
As suggested above look into viewports and paperspace.... use one of the template files that comes with autocad and xref your drawing into that file (in model space) than go to paperspace (layout tab) and double click on the screen inside the white paper. you should see a bold outline appear..You are now in modelspace and can do a zoom extents to see your drawing....that should get you started
