What are you setting SNAP for?

Snap is sometimes used along with Grid. It can be toggled On and Off. There are two Styles: Standard and Isometric. The number shown represents the Snap increment. The user can adjust this increment to suit his needs. With Snap enabled the user can start/end lines or place geometry at the Snap intervals they have set.

 

I rarely, if ever, used Snap although I work for one engineer who uses it almost all the time.

 

Refer to your User's Guide or AutoCAD's Help file for further information.

I have to view some images and even this product in iso view or preview for them so i tried to snap command should i go with ellipse command ?

I do not understand what you are trying to do.

 

You do not have to enable snap to view or create a 2D isometric.

 

To create a circle in isometric you must use the Ellipse command's Isocircle option.

In 2D iso you'll need to utilize the ellipse command. Use the Isocircle option that is part of the command.

 

You could also attempt to create the iso view using 3D. I would recommend using Press/Pull on a plan view of the object. Afterwards it can be rotated into the correct position (vertical) and then you can change your viewpoint to one of the four standard isometric views (I like the SE Isometric view).
