D-Zyne Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Received some drawing files from a client today that opened up fine. I copied some layers into my drawing (I'll call it Drawing A); still fine. Drawing A is Xref'd into Drawing B; tried to open Drawing B and everything crashed. Did a Purge and Audit on both Drawings; made no difference. Tried to Copy/Paste Drawing A material into a New file; system crashed again Each Drawing opens fine by itself (with the Xref disabled) but I simply cannot get the A data into the B drawing. Its only this file, not a global problem; clearly something is corrupt but I don't know how to go about diagnosing the problem so any helpful hints would be appreciated... Quote
ReMark Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 WBlock out everything in Drawing A to a new file and try working with that. Quote
RichardMPH Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I have had similar problems before and have found that exporting Drawing A as a DXF and then opening the DXF and saving over the original corrects / identifies any errors. DraughtIT Design and Draughting Services Quote
