FIFTHTEXAS Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Hi can any give me some advice, have xref in drawing, will not fit on to an a0 sheet so have to spit in two using two viewports, whats the best way to this, so to show the xref split by using a z type line to show it cut. Dont want to explode the xref as i will be using the building in other drawings. How would you do it to make it look neat, can anyone point my in the right direction. Much appreciated Quote
RobDraw Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Use a matchline as a demarcation line. There are many acceptable ways to present this. I use a thick faded polyline with a dashed line type with the appropriate drawing numbers on either side of it and at both ends. This line does not necessarily have to be straight if it makes sense to follow the walls or a corridor. Setup two layouts and use your viewports to show only one side of the building making sure your matchline and the sheet numbers show on both sheets. Quote
rkent Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Don't use a "z type line", just a straight line (normally) and I have always used a wide pline with a linetype of phantom, text on the outer side of the match line with the drawing number where the rest can be found. Quote
