Hi guys,

iv been tyring to import dwg files in sketchup but im coming across problems when trying to manuvere around the drawing. Sketchup just seems to operate very slowly, to the point that it is unworkable.

However on my boss's computer the drawings work fine on his version of sketchup. What could be causing this?

I should point out that he is using sketchup pro and I am using the normal version, would this make a difference? I should also state that my pc is newer than his so i isn't an issue of performance.

Thanks

I find its best to bring in a couple of items at one time from AutoCAD and then turn them into solids and make into Groups OR Componants. Rather than loads at once.

Also try to Overkill your lines in Autocad to make sure your not bringing in multiple lines over each other. Think there is also a script in sketchup which you can download which does this.
