AndyArbs Posted October 18, 2010 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Hi guys, I'm not sure if this has been asked before but i couldn't find anything on it. Ive used CAD before in high school using prodesktop and am now using autocad. In pro desktop I could convert a 3D model into 2D engineering drawings. Just wondering is it possible to do the same thing in AutoCAD I have the 2010 version of it. Any help would be much appreciated thanks. Just get the view you want of your 3d model on the screen & use the "FLATTEN" command, then select the desired objects. This will flatten all selected 3d objects on to one plane. No Remark it is "Flatten" & works well with me, atleast in 2010 My command line pasted below Command: Command: _qsave Command: flatten Initializing... Select objects to convert to 2d... JD Mather Posted October 18, 2010 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I would not use flatten. I would use flatshot or solview, soldraw. But coming from Pro/Desktop you are going to struggle with AutoCAD.
