Inserting image without a link

Hi all,

Is there a way of placing an image into a drawing without a link between drawing and picture. I want images to be imbedded in the drawing and not have links to other folders etc. I want to be able to send drawings with images/upload them to a server etc. I tried selecting “No Path” under “Path Type” in the image dialog box but after reopening of the drawing the picture is missing. Thanks.

Here's one way. Cut/copy the image, i.e. put it on your clipboard. You may need to open it in a graphics editor. Then select Edit|Paste Special... in AutoCAD. That gives you a raster image inside your drawing.
