\x dimension text

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know why sometimes when I use \X to put dimension text under the dimension line it does funny things? Sometimes it leaves the \. And as in the attached it puts a \P and doesn't move the next text string to the next line.

I understand what it is supposed to do. And most of the time it works just fine. But there seems to be an error occurring in some drawings.

Mostly I draft in imperial, but I don't think the error is consistent with Metric unit drawings (ie it occurs in some Imperial as well).
