autocad to shape

Hi all,

 

I am crazy to know the process of writing a shap file from autoca data.

I want code function to create shape file from cad data.

any one can suggess the way that how can i generate shape file.

 

**Note: Now i am working on intelli cad hence i dont have map functions and vlisp functions available.

I have not used IntelliCad before , but I am using the command (mkshape) in Autocad - so chech this out .

Hi Tharwat,

 

The function "MKSHAPE" is not available in Intelli cad.

 

I can export my drawing in to DXF format, from that can i convert dxf to shape file format. Please let me know is there any possibility.

I don't think this thread is about "steel" shapes. I would suggest you start a new thread and provide some further detail such as what "standard" you are referring to. We have members from around the world and a standard in one country (like the U.S.) might not be applicable in another country (like Indonesia). Understand?
