ThomasHiensch
Hey everyone. I've got a problem that i assume is easy to fix. When I have a model opened, and i insert another model, it's texture disappears? Info: The models I'm importing are "Zoey" or a tyrannosaurus; both models have all kinds of loose parts and bones etc. When I'm in the inserting-menu, I select all those parts. That works, except for the texture.... Thanks in advance! Thomas
ThomasHiensch
The "bones" are fine. Just the texture is missing. Edited February 6, 2011 by ThomasHiensch
Cad64
What file type is the model? Is it a .max file or .obj or .3ds or something else?
ThomasHiensch
Both are .max files in 3ds Max
Cad64
Are you using bitmap textures on these models? After you inserted the models into your scene, did you check the materials editor to make sure the textures are mapped to the correct file path? ThomasHiensch
Thanks! It fortunately was that easy. When i reopened the file, 3ds max knew the textures where missing and asked about it. So i browsed the program to the right folder, and done. Thanks!
