Change Workspace

As a computer I have installed AutoCAD MEP 2011 and I have to modify a project that is done with autocad 2008. I wonder if you can change the workspace to normal autocad, as a civil partner has autocad and has that option, in the mep I only work spaces are properly MEP.

Regards.

You can create a shortcut for 'MEP as AutoCAD' durin install or go back and it.

Or try,

Enter 'op'----Go to options then select the profiles tab and select 'AutoCAD'

You can also create a shortcut that it starts automatically autocad mep with normal autocad workspaces. just copy one of shortcuts and paste again.

Then right click => properties. then just erase (UK) or whatever you use. ;)

Change the target to and update to location installed

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD MEP 2012\acad.exe" /p "AutoCAD"

You can still perform all normal AutoCAD operations in AutoCAD MEP as well. I never switch over to the vanilla Profile.

What's up Jeff? Good to see you active on this board now. :-)

Well, it seems, by installing MEP Autocad I installed the normal, so I have no option to load the normal Autocad menu.

I will have it to reinstall.

Thank you very much for your answers

Or, in the MEP profile, open up the CUI and partially load the ACAD.CUIx file to gain access to all the default vanilla AutoCAD menus, toolbars, and ribbons.

you dont need to reinstall mep, just change your profile from options.

Thank you very much, I've done exactly what you said and works perfectly!

I could not remember the profiles options!
