corwyn1125 Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 We have bad templates from a sister company that I am trying to clean up. Anything drawn in this template is drawn as a solid line rather than the line type specified by the layer. They also come in as yellow rather than the color specified by the layer. ReMark Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 It sounds like someone deliberately overrode the layer settings which is a very common practice for people who are either new to AutoCAD or have no drafting standards in place. ReMark Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 Are you referring to the User Preferences tab? If you want to start enforcing some rules you might look into Standards and Check Standards. nestly Posted August 6, 2011 Share Posted August 6, 2011 I don't think the colors and linetypes has anything to do with "Preferences" rather it's probably a "property" override.
