muck Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 AutoCAd 2009 I am duplicating a drawing on 24 X 36" that has a scale of 1"=100'. How do I set up that scale in AutoCAD when using a veiw port? The view port scales show ratios and 1"=1'-0" Arch scales & metric scale ratios. Thank you, Quote
lpseifert Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Assuming your drawing units are feet (not feet & inches) while in the unlocked viewport... Zoom > Center > 1/100xp Quote
Fritz Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 You can also simply click on the viewport and manually type 1"=100' into the pulldown box on the viewport toolbar. I'm pretty sure there was also a way to edit the scale options available from that pulldown menu, but I can't for the life of me remember where that option is... Quote

Fritz Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Hmmm, doesn't seem to recognize that command, but I use 2004 at work. I guess that's just a newer command. Quote
hazardman Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 you can also set the scale using the zoom command in the viewport by using the xp option (meaning times paperspace)... 1"=100' is 1"=1200" thus a ratio of 1:1200 thus you would zoom>1/1200xp...of course this ratio will only work if the model space stuff was drawn in inches and the tilte block in paperspace is drawn in inches too...
