danellis Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I believe the children are the future, teach them well and watch them lead the way, show them all the CAD that they possess inside.... sorry, couldn't resist Thanks for that, Cordy. (Really hoping there are some other Buffy fans in here!) dJE Quote
Enigma Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 "I predict that within 100 years, computers will be twice as powerful, 10000 times larger, and so expensive that only the five richest kings of Europe will own them." Quote
Dana W Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) CAD will be only accessible by internet capable builderbots and makerbots that will be doing all that nasty dirty designing and building of things. All we will be left with is a short multiple choice list from which we choose what is to be built or made, and then get outa the way. We will also not be concerned about all the surveillance devices all over our homes and workplaces, nor the fact that our food is served through a slot by a foodbot on the other side of a wall, nor the fact that all of us will be forced to access the internet only through AOL. "Now where is that dogwalkerbot? Ah, it really doesn't matter, the dog is a bot. I'll just turn him off for a while." :unsure:Something about "The Cloud" makes me want to start wearin' my tinfoil hat again. Seems to me a name so completely and purposley innocuous as 'The Cloud' needs some measure of skepticism pointed at it. I wonder when 'The Visitors' will start pouring out of that cloud. Of course I am behind the times, very old school. I got lost when my new TV didn't have knobs. Why is that big white globe following me? Edited October 25, 2011 by Dana W Quote
