creating my own pipe style

hello peeps,

 

started work for another firm recently who produce grp pipework. Is there I way I can create a pipe style in mep so I can drawing the pipes? The company have a set of standards which state the size of angles/flanges etc

You can, but Revit's custom pipe style tools is limited to dots and dashes. You can, however, fully customize the amount and length of the dots/dashes and spaces in between them.

 

It's easiest to do this in Revit 2012, as you can easily affect all piping systems globally and how they display across all sheets. You'll want to go to Manage->Additional Settings->Line Patterns and create your custom style. You can then go down the project browser to the families section and find your piping systems. In there, you can lock a line pattern to a pipe system.
