Escobar,

Do you need to 'label' the object or 'change' it to a different layer?

I'll assume you need to change the object to a different layer.

1. create the new layer in the layer manager (with all of its appropriate properties - linetype, color, etc.) (I like to use a different color than the layer in which you have drawn everything (probably '0')

2. select the object desired to change to a different layer

3. using the properties manager simply change the layer by selecting the drop-down next to 'layer' in the properties.

That's it!

Now, if you have to/need to label the object...that requires the use of text.

Another way to change the layer of an object or objects: select the object(s), pull down the layer list on the Layer toolbar, and select the proper layer. The object(s) will move to that layer. In other words, the layer assigned to the object(s) will change.

If that doesn't help, please describe your situation in more detail.
