Niall Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hi, I have recently put Auto Cad 2012 on my laptop, but seems to be very slow. While doing this fusion inventor also downloaded.I was wondering could I remove Inventor as I don't use it, without that effecting my auto cad program? All I do is just basic 2D drawings on autocad and need to speed it up. Could I also remove Autodesk 2012 libary? Thank you Quote
JD Mather Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Uninstalling Fusion should have no effect on AutoCAD. Quote
Niall Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Hi JD, Thank you for getting back to me. I will go ahead and remove Fusion Inventor, anything to speed up my computer. I have another 3D program - solidwords, so that will do me fine. As I stated in the last thread, all I want the autocad is just for basic 2D drawing, and to quicken it up could I also remove such things as Autodesk Material Libary, Autodesk Content Service and simply just leave Autodesk 2012, without effecting the Autocad? Thanks very much for time, Regards, Niall Quote
JD Mather Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I don't understand how removing one program will speed up another program, unless the problem is that your hard drive is nearly full. When was the last time you ran scandisk and defrag? Quote
