tzframpton
This book covers a lot in AutoCAD MEP and is worth every penny: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Aubin-Academy-Master-Series/dp/1461141265/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345391540&sr=8-1 AutoCAD MEP already comes with ANSI standard components, complete with correct I.D. and O.D. dimensioned pipe, fittings, etc. And if there's some specialty pipes and/or fittings that it doesn't already have, then you have the ability to create new Catalogs and manually type in the correct dimensions for you to use. AutoCAD MEP is very powerful and since it's an "add-on" to the AutoCAD core, the learning curve isn't too steep.
