cad_learner Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Hello all Am pleased to make this first post as a newbie on cadtutor. I had this urgent clarification. I am having trouble importing a dwg file. The client has supposedly sent me a file of the plan as I asked for with labelled partitions, but when importing it to max, I don't see any titles in there. I thought I'll check with you here before I clarify back with him. Because this has happened twice and I don't know if I am importing it wrong. Any help will be much appreciated. Cad64 Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 What do you mean when you say "I don't see any titles in there"? What are you expecting to see, other than the CAD drawing? Studio Max will only import the drawing entities. If you need to see text labels, dimensions, notes, etc., then you will need to open the file in Autocad to view them, or have your client send you a pdf.
