Converting lines to polylines

Recommended Posts

hi all!

i was wondering if there is a way to convert multiple lines (non collinear) into polylines?

this to be able to add the "global width" property to the objects.

thanks in advance :)

I will admit that I am not sure what 'collinear' means? Lines on the same plane? Or through the same point?

As long as they are not on different Z's, PEDIT should do the trick, just choose Multiple when you are prompted to select.

Pedit then 'm' for multiple, select the lines and follow the command line prompts. Note if they are non planer you won't be able to join them to gether.

(And yeah, I found that about collinear too - but being slightly slow right now, English feels like my fourth language today)

select via qselect > do something small (like move a bit and then undo to move back) > start PEDIT > M for multiple > P for previous selection.

And I am sure some Lisp-geek will say "doh! just go use ssget"

Ahhh smrt Bog! What you are actually doing is using any old point as a basepoint and the same point as the move-to-point - didn't think of that!
