dar100 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Hi I want to the result of a multiple 2d polyline extrudsion to be one object which can be adjusted. At the moment extrude separates all the shapes, even if I turn them into regions, union them into one object and then extrude, I end up with each shape separated. HELP! please? Quote
ReMark Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 What are you drawing? You're just extruding single polylines (as in giving them height)? Quote
dar100 Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 No they are closed polylines. For example a number of columns and walls that all share the same extrusion height. Quote
ReMark Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Have you considered the fact that the items may not be in physical contact with each other? Quote
dar100 Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Why should they have to be in contact? If they all share the same extrusion height and are on the same layer then there should at least be the option of having them as one object. Like the job I am on now has columns of varying radius's. Having all of them as one object means i can easly move and adjust them and i dont have to worry about accidently moving one of the columns. Quote
Tiger Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Is it possible to have multiple 3D-solids as a Group? Then they'd at least be linked, not sure if it's possible though. Quote
ReMark Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 That group idea is worth looking into. On the other hand, you cannot union two objects that aren't in physical contact with each other. Quote
Tiger Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Nah, Unioin doesn't sound possible. Could WBlock it? Quote
