Drawing of I-beam?

Recommended Posts

I am looking to find a sample drawing of how an I beam would connect to a masonry wall, I'm not sure how much detail to add.

Does anyone know where to find sample drawings like this?

Is the beam going to sit perpendicular to the wall in a pocket?

We need a better idea of what you are attempting to do.

Is there steel decking sitting atop the beam?

Is this for a residence?

I would think there will be building standards for your part of the word, here in New Zealand with our eathquakes it may be different. Contact your building authorities first, or a sturctual engineer
