I know that you can change the keyboard shortcuts in Revit. My question, or rather statement, is why did Autodesk not set up the same shortcuts in Revit as they are in AutoCAD? I dont want to change them all.

Hey, I'm being honest with you. I'm not going to sugar coat it because I've already been there. Trust me, as humbly as I know how to type you'll want to not try and make Revit anything like AutoCAD at all. As soon as you start in doing so, you've already lost the battle in the transition.

**EDIT**

Revit uses hot keys as opposed to AutoCAD using a command line which requires Spacebar or Enter to "finish" the command. So it's not even going to work exactly like AutoCAD to begin with.

However, if you want to change the Keyboard Shortcuts, then go to R > Options > User Interface. I'd advise to get the feel for Revit first, then personalize your methods and procedures based on how you do things in Revit and not based on how you do things in AutoCAD.

Revit was originally Revit Technology Corp. which was bought by Autodesk in 2002.

Revit was not built from scratch by Autodesk.

This is why Revit is not like AutoCAD.

Yes, type KS on the keyboard and begin changing as you need. When you click OK you will not have to reload anything.

Because ..

it seems like Autodesk never really learns from development of their products.

Please just stop your Autodesk flaming. It's been going on for way too long and it's quite annoying. Go find another victim for your incessant trolling.
