Casio47
Hello All! So I've got my checked standards function working for layers only, and I'm coming up with 0 errors...which is a good thing. Now, it I add a layer, the check standards recognizes it as bad, which is good! What I don't know, and my question: what are the steps to add my new layer to comply with check standards? Thanks for the help
Dadgad
You should add them to the .DWS standard drawing which you are referencing, henceforth they will be recognized as valid layer entities.

BlackBox
Right...which is what I don't know how to do? Sorry, I'm a beginner Open the associated .DWS file, and add your new Layer(s) there.
Casio47
I added the new layer to the .DWS, but when I run standards check, it still shows up as an error? Added: So I saved over my original .DWS with the new layer, and it now passes the check, the problem is all the layers on the .DWS also need to be on the associated X-Refs...which they are not. The .DWS has all my layers correct, (40 layers) However, some of the X-Refs do not show all 40 layers? I assume this is because if an object is not on a layer, that layer will not show up. I would like to have all X-Refs show all 40 layers, regardless if anything is on them. Is this possible? Thanks for the help Edited April 22, 2013 by Casio47
Dadgad
If those layers are in an xref, and you insert it into a drawing those layers will be inserted too.
