Opening dwgs outsde of AutoCAD..

Hi,

 

A friend at work has a problem with opening up dwgs from an external source, ie from Windows Explorer and Outlook (attachements in emails of course). The problem is that everytime he attempts to open these files, it opens up a new instance of AutoCAD - opening a file inside of AutoCAD works fine and allows him to open up multiple files within the same program (so its not SDI), so must be a windows setting or something like that surley but i can't work out what..

 

Anyone got any ideas?

tools/options/system/ uncheck 'single-drawing compatability mode'

 

that should do it.....
