Auto Cad Classic quitting when I try to save my file.

Hi all,

I have encountered a problem when attempting to save my DWG. A message appears quickly then the program closes, or the program will just instantly close when I hit save. I am using Cad 2012 on a macbook pro. Please see the attached file that is a screenshot of the pop-up that I receive.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Simon.

Are you using AutoCAD on a Macbook Pro or are you using AutoCAD for MAC on a Macbook Pro? There is a difference.

Is this in 1 drawing, a few drawings or all drawings?

I am using AutoCAD for MAC on a Macbook Pro. It is also worth adding that the exact series of events took place on a PC this morning - with the same message appearing and program shutting down completely.

I have multiple drawings in one singular file and the incident only started to occur once I had imported some CAD blocks from CADBLOCKEXCHANGE.com

I have also tried to copy my work over to a new drawing, attempt to save but with no luck - the program just quits with the same message appearing.

Thanks for the response, I hope the information suffices.

I would guess it is the blocks causing this.

They may be AEC or poorly made objects.

Have you tried removing the blocks?

Tried a recover or audit? -Purge?

Try -exporttoautocad.
