EliteCookie Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Greetings. Now the problem is: I opened autocad and loaded another .dwg file. So there were two files running. One was drawing1.dwg and the other was my file i was working on. I was in a hurry so I wanted to close the program fast. I pressed x on the upper right corner to close the program. It prompted whether to save or not and i choosed save and then it asked if to save drawing 1 or not and i accidentally choosed to save it over my file. So now I lost all my work. I really need it back. Is there a way to restore the file's previous state or recover or anything to do? I am using autocad 2009. Thanks in advance. Quote
luther4000 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 If you had saved before, you will see a file with the exension .bak. rename that file extension to .dwg and it should have the information up to your previous save. You can also check the autosave file. to know where it is stored type Options --> Files --> Automatic Save File Location Quote
