How can I change the background in the Model aSpace?

Recommended Posts

Chasing around CAD forums left me with the conclusion that, at least up to AutoCAD 2010, there was no way to change that background in which we create models. Someone said that Autodesk knows better than the users so we have a choice between drab grey and depressing grey.

I am using AC 2014 and I still cannot find a way to change that background.

Is there one?

Where do I find it?

Go into OPTIONS and look on the DISPLAY tab for COLORs, as shown in the image.

You can change the color of just about anything in your display from the dialog.

You are very welcome, typically matters of personal preference can be found in OPTIONS.

It doesn't include all of the system variables, but many of the most commonly used ones.

You should take a few minutes and flip through the different tabs. :)

You can change the crosshair colour, the size of the area the crosshair picks up etc. At lunch I'll do a quick print screen process if interested. :)

EDIT: Look at picture Dagad put up, look one down from uniform background.
