remizana
Dear guys I have a jpeg plan which is attached: when i bring it to max by Alt+B and on the mach bitmap and on the lock zoom and pan, in the setting window, the scale appears wrong. I changed its size in photoshop and also it resolution but nothing changes and come up in max the same size. my question is how can i control the size of an image that i want to model in max? Cad64
Find out the dimensions of your image and then create a plane, with the same dimensions as your image. Next, open the material editor and load your image into one of the empty material slots, then apply the material to the plane. Now you can scale the plane to whatever size you need and the image will resize accordingly. Cad64
Here's a tip: Once you get the image plane scaled to the correct size, and placed where you want it, select it and then right click and choose "Object Properties". In the properties dialog, on the "General" tab, under "Display Properties", uncheck "Show Frozen in Gray" and check "Backface Cull". Under "Interactivity", check "Freeze". By doing this you will freeze the image plane so that you don't accidentally select it and move it while working.
Cad64
And if you need to unfreeze the plane for any reason, simply right click anywhere on screen and select "Unfreeze All".
