armcrae
No matter which layer is current, everything I draw is the same color. Does anyone have a simple fix? I am using AutoCAD 2014.
Dadgad
Welcome to CADTutor. Enter COLOR at the commandline, and set accordingly from the dialog box options provided. You probably want BY LAYER, eh? Have you assigned different colors to your layers yet?

I am using AutoCAD 2014.Your profile says you are using AutoCAD Architecture. Are you using the Architecture components and if so, is the "color" gray by chance? If so, then you're in a Display Representation that has everything screened. Adjust this accordingly and you'll start to see colors once again.
