I have a basic understanding of AutoCAD and I'm looking to improve the quality of my DWG's I'm looking for a basic tutorial to show me how to do a pipe layout, how AutoCAD should be set up, and what looks good. I plan on creating a database of different pipe fittings and valves. Could anyone please help me get on my way with this task. Were you aware that 2D and 3D pipe fittings and, in some cases, even valves can either be downloaded for free or purchased as "block libraries"? Or can can purchase an add-on program such as PipeFitPro ($245 U.S. for basic edition, $495 U.S. for full edition). http://www.pipefitpro.com/pipefitpro/ Are you a student by any chance? johnny13 Posted January 24, 2014 Author Share Posted January 24, 2014 Hey ReMark, Yes I'm currently getting my degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning the AutoCAD is a side project that will come in handy, I'm currently running AutoCAD MEP 2009.
