Mine is the second post on the student forum. Help with rebar. You have a lot of details they don't mention or am I wrong. I'm working on plate 3 now. I'll post a pic when I get home from lunch.

You could be right. Their directions/instructions are so all over the place that I'm trying to piece it all together correctly. I've read the entire project 3 times to try to make sure I get everything in where it belongs. This is very frustrating and the instructors are little to no help. Thank god for this forum!

Awesome! I'm almost through the 3rd plate. I only get the chance to work on them on the weekends. I work full time surveying and inspecting road construction during the week. By the way my name is Rose and I'm in Montana.

Page 11 last bullet tells you to put rebar in the pillar. Page 12 under the diagram has the bolt description. It looks like I have my details on the wrong side.

I see it now. i must have over looked it.

Vertical and horizontal rebar is placed in

the pillar similar to that shown in Problem 21-4, (page

45 in Structural Drafting with Basic Architectural

Applications). This rebar is also #6 rebar at 8″ OC. The

overlap of the rebar near the bottom of the pillar is

approximately 2″.

also on page 45 section A and B

do a close up picture rose so I can have some idea what to draw here.

here is what I have so far on that
